Maintenance Technician - Foundry Operation

Nidec Minster Corporation, is seeking a skilled individual to fill the role of Maintenance Technician, at our Minster, Ohio Gray and Ductile Iron foundry. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and replacing industrial equipment and machinery used in our foundry operation.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in electronics or like discipline preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job
  • Knowledge of electrical/electronics troubleshooting and installation techniques
  • Capable of performing mechanical repair or mechanical knowledge of machinery found in a manufacturing environment 
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics 
  • Able to work effectively with minimum supervision 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Must work with a sense of urgency

Responsibilities:

  • Installs, maintains and repairs a broad range of mechanical systems and equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication and power transmission systems.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and repair mechanical operating systems and equipment.
  • May work alone with minimal supervision or other maintenance technicians.
  • Installs, maintains and repairs a broad range of electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
  • Must have thorough background in industrial electricity and knowledge of schematics, AC/DC systems, PLCs.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and repair electrically driven operating systems and equipment.


Additionally, safety is our highest priority and safety procedures/guidelines must be adhered to at all times. This includes safety wear such as hard hat, goggles, hearing protection, and protective clothing and work boots with metatarsal protection. Punctuality and attendance are extremely important to the success of the operations in general as well as contributing to an overall positive team atmosphere.
