General Manager, Sales and Service

Nidec Minster is seeking a General Manager, Sales and Services. The General Manager, Sales and Services will be responsibile for coordinating functional area services with market segment directors, coordinate solutions to field problems, manage service and parts to provide customer satisfaction, monitor customer satisfaction, train and oversee the customer service staff, provide budget and plans for customer service operations, and maintan records and provide feedback of service and parts activity.   


  • Requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field such as finance, business administration or advanced mathematics. Knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • More than 10 years experience


  • Development of complex analytical reports, routines or theoretical models using advanced logical, statistical or financial concepts.
  • Computer skills for Micro Soft suite of products including Powerpoint, project and operation of a variety of communication tools. Ability to speak to customers regarding their equipment and stamping operations.
  • Write or modify text to communicate conceptual or other complex information


  • Promote sales of service and parts by maximizing profitability, growth, and service levels with Service, repair parts and other assigned businesses.
  • Coordinate functional area services with Market Segment Directors.
  • Coordinate internal solutions to field problems with service, parts, manufacturing, Engineering and sales.
  • Select, train, motivate and develop Minster customer service staff.
  • Manage Service and parts to provide customer satisfaction and monitor customer satisfaction, providing follow up with customers as may be required.
  • Provide budget and plans for customer service operations and evaluate sot benefit of service.
  • Develop marketing plans and participate in overall formulation of Minster overall marketing policies in assigned areas.
  • Maintain records and provide feedback of service and parts activity, including recommendation of field problem resolution.
  • Ability to negotiate and/or finalize sensitive and complex financial, operational or functional issues for a major segment of the Company's operational or functional activities.
