Technical Sales, Project Manager

Nidec Minster Corporation, an OEM of metal forming equipment with over 100 years of history has an opening for a Technical Sales, Project Manager.  This position will work closely with its direct sales force, internal operations and engineering groups, distributor network and the end customer.  The Technical Sales, Project Manager is responsible for processing quotations, project management of active orders, and customer communications.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Engagement directly in and support of the sales process.
  • Desire to work with customers in a "Sales" environment.
  • Act as a conduit between direct sales and the engineering, manufacturing, and services entities.
  • Developing accurate and timely quotations based upon customer specifications and features.
  • Provide complete project management from the initial receipt of a quote request through the final installation of equipment.
  • Support and assist, as necessary, with any and all sales or customer meetings and events, which might include engaging with customers to resolve service and support issues.
  • The position is also responsible for understanding the detailed function of our products in order to be able to advise Nidec Press & Automation sales staff and distributor network on the proper application of stamping and automation equipment.

 Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Highly motivated with positive, strong work ethic and initiative with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to gather and share information via interaction with multiple departments.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task by working on several projects simultaneously.
  • Solid technical background with knowledge of the metal forming industry is preferred.
  • Willingness to be hands-on with products and equipment when required.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and travel when needed.
  • Command of Microsoft Office programs and ability to read blueprints.

 Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline is preferred, but not required.
